In september 2020, following new warrants and certificates models implementation, Euronext implemented technically the possibility to negociate these financial products until 8pm or 10pm. Until now, Arkéa ProCapital Services is the only Euronext french member with capacity to access to this new service and propose it to its clients.

Indeed, this change of cotation hours has been accompanied by a change of the settlement mode on warrants and certificates. This lead to developments and process reviewing for each Euronext member willing to offer this new service to its clients.

Context

Shareholders’ Rights Directive II (SRD II) was introduced in 2021in order to counter the first directive’s (2007) failures identified during the 2008 financial crisis. The main objectives of SRD II are : encourage long-term investment, increase transparency in the voting process, and encourage dialogue between investors and issuers.

Through its three main objectives, SRD II introduces new rules and requirements towards financial intermediaries such as Arkéa ProCapital Services, such as :

• General Meetings notification
• Proxy voting
• Shareholders’ identity disclosure on issuer’s request

The new directive is in force on European markets since 2020. In this case, Arkéa ProCapital Services lead three main compliance projects, and was asked to present on of its projects regarding General Assemblies online notification and participation.

This Webinar, organised by SLIB with Broadridge partnership, aimed at analysing SRD II and understangind the main impacts on French financial intermediaries through legal, practical and technological aspects. The following aspects were on the program :

• Understand SRD II requirements and stakes
• Discover its concret implementation through a case study
• How to be SRD II compliant thanks to Votaccess solution

Aldric Pouron, Director of Arkéa ProCapital’s Customer Division, participated to the Webinar’s case study, in order to present the implementation of Votaccess solution for its customers (solution of notification and online participation to General Meetings), as well as the benefits associated to this solution.

Within the framework of this partnership, My Money Group will use Crédit Mutuel Arkéa’s infrastructures and will rely on the IT and operational services provided by Arkéa ProCapital’s Services for securities services.

As of October 1st, 2020, AXA Banque has therefore transferred to Arkéa ProCapital Services its securities activities concerning order execution, account safekeeping and custody for the Free Management and Private Management services for individual clients.

This strategic project, which aims to support AXA Banque’s development by providing it with Arkéa ProCapital’s Services expertise, experience and quality of service, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021.

Arkéa ProCapital’s Services will take over the custody account management of AXA Banque’s unrestricted management accounts at the end of 2021, as well as all trading, execution, administrative account management and custody activities for AXA Banque’s private management accounts.

On the other hand, AXA Banque will retain all of its other activities, including customer relationship management.

This partnership with the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa entities reflects AXA Banque’s desire to drive a new phase of transformation. “We are convinced that, in a banking market undergoing a technological revolution, this collaboration will enable us to be even more responsive and innovative, and will be a major asset in terms of customer experience” explains Marie-Cécile Plessix, CEO of AXA Banque.

As a graduate of HEC and Centrale Paris in 2002, Sébastien Calcio Gaudino began his career in management and organization consulting at Unilog Management, within the Banking & Finance business line.

He joined Arkéa ProCapital Services in 2006 to manage the takeover of the securities business of Banque AGF, which has now become Allianz Banque. After that, he became Director of Organization & Projects, then Project Manager to the Executive Board, before becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2014.

Since January 2021, Sébastien Calcio Gaudino is in charge of the Clients, Projects and IT Division of Arkéa ProCapital Services.

The Clients, Projects and IT Division, whose creation is part of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa’s new Strategic Plan, aims to address four strategic areas:

• Support ProCapital’s Services clients in the implementation of regulatory and market changes, as well as in the launch of new products and services
• Guarantee the quality of service in a context of strong increase in volumes
• Develop the client portfolio by strengthening the sales teams, and focusing on innovation and enrichment of financial savings offers
• Carry out major transformation projects, such as the convergence of ProCapital’s Services IT platforms in France and Belgium

Following on from the previous plan, “Arkéa 2020”, the 2024 medium-term plan is part of a powerful drive to transform Crédit Mutuel Arkéa’s businesses and achieve sustainable growth.

To build this Medium-Term Plan (MTP), the Group has asked its various business units and entities to reflect on the strategic directions that support Arkéa’s “Raison d’Etre”, itself adopted at a Shareholder’s Meeting in May 2020.

The result ?

Four strategic priorities were defined to guide the Group’s development and implement the intentions expressed in its “Raison d’être”.

1. Expanding the range of offerings and services with a positive impact
2. Promoting and supporting responsible regional development
3. Offer an increasingly personalized customer experience and aim for excellence in customer relations
4. Developing Arkéa’s partnership model
